What’s new

Every release of the web app, the Mac app and the iPhone and Apple Watch apps, newest first.

  1. Apple Watch

The watch records on its own

In TestFlight build 59; the App Store version is pending review.

    • The Watch app now records on the watch itself. Tap Start Kolasys or the watch-face complication and it keeps recording with your phone in a bag or another room.
    • When you stop, the recording syncs to your iPhone in the background and the notes are written as usual. Nothing to tap.
    • A tap on the wrist when the notes are ready, and your recent meetings with their notes right on the watch.
    • The app opens on a Start Kolasys tile with today's meetings below it.
  2. Mac 1.0.5

    Meeting-start prompts

    • When a meeting on your calendar starts, the Mac app shows a banner with Record, Join (when the invite has a link) and Dismiss, plus a notification with a Start recording button.
    • Nothing records until you press it. Turn prompts on or off in Settings → Meeting start prompts.
    • Installs of 1.0.4 update to 1.0.5 on their own.
  3. Mac 1.0.4

    Private meetings on the Mac

    • Private meetings show a lock, and the meeting list has All, My meetings and Team scopes, matching the web.
    • Each meeting page has a "Who can see this meeting" row.
    • The app now updates itself: it downloads new versions in the background and installs them when you quit.
    • Requires macOS 13 Ventura or later.
  4. Web

    Clearer billing

    • The Billing page shows how many meetings you have used this month against your plan's limit.
    • Meetings recorded by the calendar bot count toward the Free plan's 3 meetings a month, the same as any other recording.
  5. Web

    Private by default

    • New meetings are visible only to you until you share them. Switch any meeting between "Only me" and "Everyone in your workspace" from its page.
    • Meetings has three scopes: My meetings, Team and All. Private meetings carry a lock.
    • Sharing a meeting posts it to your connected Slack, Notion and webhooks. Admins can choose to post private meetings too.
    • The REST API and MCP server respect the same rule, and a new PATCH endpoint renames a meeting or changes who can see it.
  6. Web

Shortcuts and a new Ask AI

    • Shortcuts are saved Ask AI prompts you run in one tap. Eight are built in, including Write TLDR, Write follow-up email, List my to-dos, Recap my week and Prep next meeting.
    • Make your own, share them with your workspace, and run them on a meeting, a folder or everything.
    • Ask AI has a new home, a "/" picker for Shortcuts, and saved conversations you can come back to.
    • Shortcuts are available in the REST API and the MCP server.
  7. Web

    People and Companies

    • A People directory of everyone you meet, with a page for each person and every meeting you have had together.
    • Companies group people by organization, with their own pages.
    • Attendees come from your calendar and from the meeting itself when the bot records it.
  8. Web

    Light, Dark and Color

    • Three appearances replace the old dark-mode switch. Pick one from the sidebar.
    • The Overview, Analytics and every meeting list were redrawn to match.
  9. Web

    Easier to get started

    • A one-time welcome and a Get started checklist on the Overview for new workspaces.
    • Empty Meetings and Overview pages explain the three ways to record: send a bot, upload a file, or record on your Mac.
    • A Members page shows who is in your workspace.
    • New public Download and Support pages, and a Privacy Policy that lists every service we share data with.
  10. Mac 1.0.3

    Three appearances on the Mac

    • Light, Dark and Color themes, chosen from three cards in Settings.
    • A rebuilt menu-bar popup on the same layout as the rest of the app.
    • Upcoming calendar meetings show in the menu bar again.
